Baton Rouge Coating Facility

Located adjacent to the Stupp Corporation pipe mill, the coating facility applies Fusion Bonded Epoxy corrosion coating to pipe that range in size from 8-5/8" through 42"in lengths to 90'. In addition to standard FBE, the plant also applies dual layer FBE for High Temperature applications as well as (ARO) Abrasive Resistant and NonSlip powder coatings.

The plant operates under ISO 9002 Quality Management System and was designed and built to compliment the production capabilities of the Stupp facilities.

In addition there is also an internal coating plant that is capable of applying both flow efficiency as well as corrosion coatings in lengths up to 80'.

The coated pipe is loaded to railcars or to truck or placed into storage using padded forklifts to insure that the integrity of the coating is maintained, without incurring any handling damage, prior to shipment.
