Where does Stupp Corporation source its raw materials?

Stupp's main steel supply is domestic, although special cases may allow steel from Europe or Canada. Each individual steel mill is qualified per in-house practices.

What are the longest pipe lengths that Stupp can produce?

For API line pipe, Stupp can produce lengths up to 85' with 80' maximum for rail shipments. For piling, single lengths over 120' have been produced as well as longer multiple lengths.

How many pipe are produced from a single coil of steel?

This depends on the length being cut, the size of the coil, and the wall thickness. Stupp may produce as few as 5-6 lengths on 80' heavy wall pipe and as many as 38-40 lengths on 40' light wall pipe.

Stupp Corporation is a division of Stupp Bros. Inc. The coating facility is jointly owned by Stupp Bros. and The Bayou Companies. Bayou is the managing partner, while Stupp has the majority position. The coating facility was built to primarily address the needs of Stupp Corporation's customers, who wanted to have a reliable source for pipe coating at the pipe mill.
