Stupp Making Giant Strides
Stupp continued on its path of bold, industry-leading undertakings when it placed an order for a coil of 1" thick API-5L X-80 continuous cast steel. The steel coil has been received and will be placed into production of API-5L gas line pipe when the optimum production date is determined. President and COO Ed Scram commented that "The initiation of this process supports Stupp's underlying business approach of being market-driven and customer oriented."
The steel coil was produced by ArcelorMittal Steel and confirmed their ability to produce this industry leading product for the energy market. Stupp will be working closely with ArcelorMittal representatives over the near future to assure that the technical exchanges and benefits of this endeavor serve both companies as they share in providing the energy market the next generation of products.
